Silly Old Me

By Kaylee McNeal

I remember our talk about a party I never attended--

Making plans for a movie date--

Little did I know the walls were closing in.

You started getting distant and everything felt off--

I should've listened

to my friend

who said you wouldn't stay.

She was right. You didn't.

And just like that you were gone.

and I cried

and I cried

to anyone who would listen.

I thought we were

friends.

Yeah.

Well, I'll see you

when this relationship

ends.
